We want your treatment to go as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Please review the following instructions to help ensure a safe and successful procedure.
Before Your Procedure:
- Medication Reminder:
If you take any blood thinners—prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal—these may need to be paused prior to your appointment. Our office will coordinate with your physician before advising any changes. - Daily Medications:
Continue taking your usual medications (e.g., for blood pressure, cholesterol, or diabetes), unless told otherwise by your doctor. - Antibiotic Premedication:
If you're required to take antibiotics before dental treatment, follow your premedication schedule as directed. - Sedatives or Tranquilizers:
Planning to take a calming medication before your visit? Please arrange for someone to drive you to and from the office. - Eating and Drinking:
You do not need to fast. Please eat normally prior to your appointment—especially important for patients managing diabetes. - Tobacco Use:
Avoid all tobacco products the day of surgery. - Activity Level:
Most patients can resume normal activity the day after their procedure unless otherwise instructed. - Toothpaste Update:
Switch to a standard cavity protection toothpaste with fluoride—no whitening, tartar control, or baking soda formulas.
